Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-11-06
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Keragi website, documentation, help center, downloads, and any online services we provide (together, the “Services”). They do not replace the software license included with the Keragi software; the LICENSE governs your use of the software itself.
Keragi is currently operated by an individual developer (“we”, “us”, or “Keragi”). You can contact us through https://www.keragi.com.
By accessing the Services, downloading software, or purchasing a paid feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Scope and order of precedence
1.1 These Terms apply to the website and online Services. The LICENSE included with the software applies to the software, including the wasmx host and WASM resources.
1.2 A separate order, invoice, or written agreement for a paid feature applies to that purchase.
1.3 If there is a conflict: (a) the order/paid-feature terms control for that purchase; (b) the LICENSE controls for the software; (c) these Terms control for the website and online Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase paid features or enter into a binding contract. If you are below that age, you may use the free Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Services where they are prohibited by law.
3. Accounts and credentials
3.1 Some Services may require an account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3.2 You are responsible for keeping your credentials, devices, keys and backups secure. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.
3.3 You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except to the extent caused by our own failure to use reasonable care.
4. Software, downloads and licensing
4.1 The Keragi software is proprietary and is licensed, not sold, under the LICENSE included with the package. No source-code license is granted.
4.2 You may install and use the software only as permitted by the LICENSE. Redistribution, resale, sublicensing, hosted-service provision and circumvention of paid-feature controls are prohibited unless separately authorized in writing.
4.3 Downloads may be updated or withdrawn. We do not guarantee that a particular version will remain available indefinitely.
5. Acceptable use
Your use of the Services must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. You are responsible for the content you send, store or process, and for the configuration and security of any self-hosted deployment you operate.
6. User content
6.1 You retain ownership of the content you create or upload (“User Content”). You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Services you use. For self-hosted deployments, we do not receive your content unless you separately provide it to us for support.
6.2 You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to send, store or process User Content.
6.3 End-to-end encrypted messages are not readable by us. The server only relays or blind-stores ciphertext. You are responsible for client-side keys and backups; deleting client data may make messages unrecoverable.
7. Paid features and subscriptions
7.1 Some host features or WASM resources may be offered as paid features, subscriptions, or commercial licenses. The scope, price, billing period, renewal and cancellation terms will be stated in the applicable order or checkout page.
7.2 Prices may be displayed exclusive or inclusive of taxes depending on your location and the checkout process. You are responsible for any taxes not collected by us or our payment provider.
7.3 Subscriptions renew only as stated at checkout. You may cancel as described in the order or checkout page. Refunds are governed by our Refund and Subscription Policy.
7.4 We may change free and paid features in future releases. Changes apply prospectively and do not retroactively alter rights you received for a version you lawfully obtained, unless you choose to upgrade to new terms.
8. Third-party services
The Services may interoperate with third-party AI models, connectors, payment providers, hosting providers or other services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, including their availability, output, security or data practices.
9. Intellectual property
9.1 We and our licensors retain all rights in the Services, software, documentation, trademarks and content we provide, except for User Content and third-party components.
9.2 You may not use the Keragi name or logos in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our written permission.
9.3 If you provide feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it to improve the Services.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. For self-hosted deployments, the operator of that deployment is responsible for its own privacy compliance.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT DATA WILL BE RECOVERABLE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD 100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, WHERE SUCH LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you materially breach these Terms, the LICENSE, or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law.
14. Changes to the Services and Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. If you do not agree, stop using the Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established or, if the operator is an individual, in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts at the operator’s principal place of business or, for an individual, place of residence, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
